Safety

Safety is my top priority, and I follow stringent procedures to ensure every flight is conducted safely. Prior to each flight, a detailed online pre-flight survey is completed, including a location check to assess airspace restrictions, proximity to airports, and any no-fly zones. This process allows me to identify and mitigate any potential flight restrictions. Furthermore, each aerial photography project undergoes a comprehensive risk assessment, conducted on a case-by-case basis, in full compliance with CAA regulations and guidelines.

Risk Assessment

I carry out a number of checks and procedures prior to any drone flight or operations.

Airspace Checks

When operating in controlled airspace or busy areas, I proactively contact the relevant Air Traffic Control authorities and other pertinent agencies to notify them of my planned flight activities.

Weather Conditions

All flights are contingent upon favorable weather conditions. A thorough assessment of the weather will be conducted prior to each flight, and a determination will be made regarding the safety and suitability of the conditions for flight.

Permission

We require the landowner's permission prior to takeoff and landing when operating on private property. However, public land may generally be used without restriction.

Equipment Checks

I perform a thorough inspection of all equipment prior to each flight. This includes, but is not limited to, checking for any damage, verifying battery levels, assessing wear and tear, and ensuring all connections are secure.
